systems, networking & infrastructure
Twenty years operating a production multi-domain hosting stack: mail with Postfix and Dovecot and the full deliverability chain (SPF, per-domain DKIM, DMARC enforcement, MTA-STS, SRS), DNS with PowerDNS, and LDAP as a low-latency authentication backend for both mail and DNS. Linux (Debian/Ubuntu; custom monolithic kernels to reduce attack surface). HAProxy, Nginx, Apache, Let's Encrypt at scale; Django deployment with gunicorn/uWSGI and systemd. TCP/IP, firewalling (iptables, fail2ban), VPN, Radius, VoIP, FTP, LAN/WLAN/WAN, SAMBA, NFS. Software RAID (mdadm), LVM, ZFS, partitioning; backups with rsync and borg; bare-metal provisioning from scratch (rescue boot, RAID1) on Hetzner. Containers and virtualization: LXC/LXD, OpenVZ, QEMU/KVM and libvirt, Proxmox. Monitoring with monit. Git (and in their day CVS, SVN, Bazaar, Mercurial).
directing AI agents
Daily development with coding agents (Claude Code). I direct the work: I define the architecture, the specifications and the quality criteria, and I check the result against evidence (running it, reproducing failures). On Joymixa every change goes through automated checks (strict typing, linters, audits against a baseline) and agent review before it is merged.
troubleshooting
Long experience diagnosing and resolving problems in complex systems - from network infrastructure to real-time audio synchronisation - with method: reproduce, isolate the root cause, and verify with evidence before applying a fix.
